About us

Nadine Holgate is the founder and Senior Occupational Therapist at Neurolinks.

Nadine has worked in the field of acquired brain injury rehabilitation for over 20 years and established Neurolinks in 2011.

Nadine specialises in working with children and adults who have a neurological condition and experience cognitive and behavioural changes that may impact on their participation in meaningful activities at home, or in the community.

Nadine’s qualifications and training include:

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, La Trobe University (1999). 
  • Masters in Clinical Family Therapy, La Trobe University (2008)
  • Clinical researcher in a Monash Epworth Rehabilitation Research project providing positive behaviour support for people with brain injury (2017-2020)

Nadine has held positions at the following organisations:

  • The Bouverie Centre
  • Osborn Sloan and Associates
  • Summer Foundation
  • Melbourne Citymission
  • Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (GV Health).

She has recently worked as a clinician on a research project providing positive behaviour support for people with brain injury, conducted by Monash Epworth Rehabilitation Research Centre.

 

Nadine is passionate about…

working collaboratively with the person with the neurological condition, their family, supports and team to support the person to achieve their goals.   

She supports the person to…

identify and return to their meaningful life roles after their brain injury, and finds creative ways to develop their skills and independence in the activities related to their life roles.

Nadine is a registered Occupational Therapist through; Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Please note that Nadine does not specialise in prescribing adaptive equipment or home modifications.

Nadine works with people funded by TAC, Worksafe and NDIS.

She is currently registered to provide Therapeutic Supports (Improved Daily Living Skills) to NDIS participants
